Premiere at the new fair: Bosch Automotive Tradition at Retro Classics 2008, Stuttgart
Bosch Automotive Tradition welcomed its first visitors to its stand at Retro Classics 2008,
held at Stuttgart's new exhibition center from March 13 to 16, 2008. More than 50,000 classic
car enthusiasts attended the event.
The main attractions at the Bosch stand were 30 years of ABS and 40 years of electronic gasoline
injection, an introduction to the new ebay online platform
"Bosch Klassik Teilevermittlung"
(Bosch Classic Parts Finder) and the company's own
"Bosch Boxberg Klassik 2008"
vintage car rally. Interesting and entertaining presentations were held each hour in the contemporary
garage, teaching visitors about the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W116 - the first car of its time to be equipped with ABS.
The two expert partners on the stand, BCS Küppers and
BCS Koller + Schwemmer,
were on hand to answer specific practical questions from visitors. There was keen interest in Bosch Boxberg Classic
2008, not least because poll position was up for grabs in a competition on a Carrera track, laid out in the shape of
the Bosch Boxberg test track.
Bosch's commitment to maintaining old-timers and newer models was highly praised by fair organizers and
classic car enthusiasts alike. Bosch D-Jetronic was voted the top innovation by the fair's panel of judges
and was awarded the "Special prize for future-oriented technology."
Bosch Automotive Tradition would like to thank all those who showed an interest in Bosch, as well as all the company's guests and friends.
