Silvretta Classic 2008 - 7 Bosch teams take part
From 3 - 5 July 2008, the Silvretta Classic provided great entertainment for the eleventh
time with its three-day adventure in the beautiful valley of Montafon. The rally included 625
fascinating kilometers, an attractive starter field with 186 cars manufactured between 1923 and 1988,
sporty challenges and sociable evenings.
Bosch strengthened its involvement and was represented by 7 car teams.
Already before the start, the Austrian racing team of Norbert Jurkowitsch, Willi Angerer and Max Zottler
competently carried out the technical inspection of the entire starter field. During the rally, the
experienced three-man team, along with roadside assistance and technical service, was on hand to offer
the participants help and advice. This offer was often gladly taken up.
The spectators at the start and finish lines were treated to a VW T1 Bulli utility vehicle with original
historical Bosch paintwork. The appearance by Bosch, described as "extremely likeable", was rounded off
by 7 Bosch rally teams. The best driving team with an overall placement of 49 was Dr. Eugen Konrad with
Ms. Ulrike Konrad, former Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Group Executive Management, in a Jaguar XK 150 DHC
1960 model with the start number 95.
