Classics at the Techno Classica, April 5 - 9, 2006
For the 18th time, the largest and most important classic car show in the world took place in the halls of the Essen Exhibition Center.
For a few days, the Techno Classica 2006 was once again the highlight for international classic car lovers. This was apparent from the very high number of visitors. This year, more than 160,000 visitors represented a new record, showing that the family of classic car fans is growing rapidly and the topic of classic cars is gaining increasingly in significance.
There was plenty to see! Classic cars were on sale for a total of 200 million euros and more than 180 clubs from the classic car scene presented themselves to the enthusiastic visitors - as did the young classic car division Bosch Automotive Tradition (ATR).
Bosch ATR appeared as a full unit at its own booth for the first time with the complete range of services and products. The specially conceived booth was designed to provide information on the competence and services of ATR as well as to offer personal customer advice. The intensive press and public relations work in advance was rewarded by very strong visitor presence at the Bosch booth. The Bosch tradition team was available to provide advice and concrete solution proposals.
In order to set up a lively relationship to practical application, Bosch ATR cooperated with the two Classic Bosch Car service partners Küppers and Koller & Schwemmer, who were able to present themselves in separate areas at the stand. This made it possible to provide both theoretical and skilled practical knowledge. If interested, visitors were able to join the Bosch classic car experts in viewing and operating historical original testing technology. Numerous technical discussions regarding workshop services, using real inquiries and problems made sure that the booth partnership was extremely successful.
And there was yet another highlight which attracted visitors to the stand: guided training courses covering various focal issues provided technical information in an entertaining but competent form, interactively involving those who were interested in the topic of classic cars.
The positive feedback from both final customers and corporate customers showed that Bosch has become a fixed component in the classic sector and that it will continue to play an important role at the Techno Classica in future as an original parts specialist. All in all, a successful, holistic show appearance.
